I have always been interested in working with people, listening to them, and trying to understand their problems. As a result, I would like to pursue a career in which I will get to exercise my interest and, in the process, make the world a better place to live in. I am looking for a career with a background in psychology to solve organization and business problems. Although I am fascinated by the concept and experience attached to clinical psychology, I would like to have a career that I enjoy. In a year or so, I would like to be at a place where I have a better understanding of employees and customers and a situation where I can engage them in seeking solutions to the problems affecting their day-to-day operations and interactions.
I believe there is no better way to achieve this goal than by taking the Master of Science in Applied Psychology program. Under this program, I believe I will develop skills and experience in organizational psychology and consumer psychology, and, as a result, I will be better placed to achieve my career goals. I believe that by taking the program, I will focus on the economics of the outcomes that I desire. The organization that will employ me will benefit from the skills, including comprehending the mindset of the consumers and employees since those aspects are critical for success. Therefore, I think a career in applied psychology will be an asset to my future organization. In essence, I am excited by the idea of adding value to an organization by taking up the course and developing the necessary skills in applied psychology. I am also enthusiastic about the possibility of solving people’s problems.
I once had a chance to work in a service company. The firm provided information technology services to customers, who could walk in or call the company to get the necessary services. Following the call by the customer, the management could send the most suitable employee to provide the required services. To say the least, some of the employees came back disappointed and claimed to have dealt with difficult clients. In the process, I developed the interest in understanding why some customers were difficult, and some employees were always miserable. In this case, I discovered that many employees would only report to their working station since they needed the payment at the end of the month. On the other hand, the returning clients only returned since they received the best services from the company. However, some of the customers never returned for services from the company.
I realized that the answers to my questions would only be given if I studied organizational and customer psychology through a wider platform of M.S. in Applied Psychology after my Undergraduate studies. I know that the program will provide me with the resources necessary to speak to the challenges I encountered in the company through the tools and language of psychology. I would not only understand the employees and the customers but also apply the skills and knowledge in trying to solve their problems. As such, it would make the working experience better for the employees and increase the level of satisfaction of the customers. It is worth noting that the approach would be highly beneficial to the company and would create a platform that will enhance customer’s satisfaction as well earn the client loyalty. Once I graduate from my undergraduate program, I am looking forward to getting the opportunity to pursue the M.S. in Applied Psychology program. I will appreciate your consideration and any assistance extended.
