Question 2: PR Brief
Decreasing the hospital’s human resources would mean that the health care quality reduces. Therefore, the hospital should look at the alternative to reducing the workforce. According to Negre et al. (2017), downsizing the workforce is critical to managing its cost of operations and declining quality. For the hospital to address the perception of reduced quality due to its plan to downsize the staff, it should advertise that it embraces tele-health in the same channels. The use of technology is increasing and will impact the quality of healthcare delivery positively. In the case of the hospital, the best approach would be to automate service delivery. The emerging trends are that many hospitals invest in technology and support human resources with machines in many functional departments. The focus of automation is to improve the quality of service delivery. Therefore, an increase in the use of technology such as electronic health records will not affect the quality of the staff. Thus, this will control the impression that the quality of the healthcare in the hospital will reduce. Therefore, the hospital should work with nursing staff to implement technology and ask the patients to seek consultation online, obtain prescriptions through intelligent applications, and access health care.
Question 7: University of Chicago Hospital
The University of Chicago Hospital ran an advertisement that showed one of its intensive care nursing assistants recommends the hospital as the premier facility. The approach involved a channel control strategy that directly aimed at convincing the end consumers to consume services that the university hospital rendered. Therefore, the university hospital used the nursing assistant to portray the value of the hospital. Advertisement increases awareness and influences customers to develop trust in a product (Frennea, Han & Mittal 2019). The direct channel indicates a mechanism through which the University of Chicago Hospital markets its services directly without using any intermediaries. The use of the intensive care nursing assistant was part of the organization’s approach to allowing the customers to get the benefits of the hospital directly. Therefore, the hospital’s advertisement was effective because it was a direct channel to create awareness of the products of the hospital and influence the consumers to develop trust in the services it offers.
Question 8: Mary Hayes
The market continues to record a 1.6 percent decline of age groups of 26-40 years. The reason for this is the decline in jobs and retirement age. Therefore, the primary approach for promoting the strategies is to ensure no staff turnover. The institution should give a bonus to employees as part of the motivational package that prevents employees from leaving the organization. Also, the organization should increase the pension for those retiring as part of the approach that will motivate them to stay in the organization. Integrating social media marketing is critical in allowing the organization to edge competitively in the market. Moreover, the organization could give paid leaves as part of the employees’ benefits. All these will come with increasing the career progression of the staff through training programs. Since the organization is in the declining stage, it is imperative to readjust the vision and mission by making changes that promote the organization’s growth. The focus of adjusting the vision is to align the organizational goals to move it into digital platforms. As a result, social media promotion will help the organization to reach a wider audience with less operational costs.
