Electric Vehicles Green Chargers: Review of Literature
The dawn of electric vehicle disrupted the motoring industry with the green charging innovation. Forecasts show that by 2030 approximately 250 electric vehicles will be on the global roads. The drive for innovation is the growing investment in the new charging innovation to support zero-emission. Eco innovations such as battery electric vehicles have gained attention over the past years. The underlying reason is the increase in environmental concern fostering the conversation on climate change. Green technologies are adaptive choice-based engineering and infrastructure that drives innovation and sustainability.
Governments’ efforts to stimulate the diffusion of electric vehicles charging systems provide insights into the need for a more sustainable environment. The availability of the charging infrastructure is a critical attribute that determines innovation towards efficiency and sustainable motoring (Burs et al. 2020). The environmental impact of electric vehicle charging technology reflects the need for efficient energy consumption and production. New technology in developing elective vehicles respond to the overdependence on oil and environmental pollution (Sun et al. 2020). Key technologies about the charging systems and batteries, motors and control are geared towards improving efficiency, safety and reliability of electric vehicles in the highly conscious environmental sustainability market.
The battery technology development for electric vehicles has dramatically impacted the traction system that powers the propulsion engines. Blockchain strategies for electric vehicles are spreading given the high standards for reducing carbon emission. The U.K has implemented a law that requires manufacturers to reduce their emission rates by 10% (Lazaroiu, Roscia and Saatmandi 2020). Allowing blockchain technologies for electric vehicles has created room for manufacturers to adjust the combustion system to the electricity grid. All these increases in charging points and financing mechanism. The impact of electric vehicles and growing points for charging contributes to urban sustainability, delocalization of air pollution, and using renewable energy. The integration of the electric vehicle into the smart green and the interaction has laid the grounds for charging standards, safety standards, integration standards, and the development of power, control and communication infrastructure (Das et al., 2020). Therefore, manufacturers and their partners develop the prototype for elective vehicles that allow for efficient energy use and sustainability.
Giant strides in the electric car industry continue to focus on technological improvement. Electric vehicles have increased autonomy, decreased time to recharge the battery and influenced the decrease in battery prices (Orsi 2021). The technology can save the needed charge by 40 per cent, increasing the actual sustainability of electric vehicles. Electric mobility is changing how the world addresses climate change. Public charging networks have increased in response to increasing the adoption of electric vehicle technology (Pardo-Bosch et al., 2021). The innovation increases the affordability of zero-emission car models and allows manufacturers to introduce other models and make the car more environmentally sound and friendlier for the 21st century.
The collaboration between stakeholders has enabled companies to develop the new charging technology for electric cars efficiently. Many companies have embarked on developing lithium-ion batteries for electric cars in a joint venture with NEC to gain significant economies of scale. The innovation has considerable experiences and technical learning about electric vehicles. Increasing the charging points is the electric vehicle business models, focusing on improving on several technical options for their customers. The use of electric vehicles is expected to grow in future due to the volatile nature of the oil industry. The availability of oil is continuously declining, and their prices rapidly raise doubt about its availability in the future.
