The work of art by Clause is from the Impressionist movement, and the landscape played a critical role in his paintings. The painter was focused on one element of landscape, the color. His paintings reflected how, over the course of a day, colors kept varying. He used color to show how light over the course of the day affected the color of the stacks of wheat.
